2nd Wednesday Project - November

Here is the Advent calendar I designed for our project this month.   It turned out really well (if I do say so myself) ....I might still do the numbering a little differently and will definitely have the group move the tree in box 14 to the left, but all in all, I am calling this one done!

SB101 - September

Not the best picture, but below is the layout for our September SB101 club.  It uses the Avonlea paper pack and our new slate satin ribbon.  I am loving the little journalling pocket on the bottom right.  I cut both pieces on the CTMH Artiste  Cricut cartridge.  The accent shapes are also form the same cartridge.

There are a couple finishing touches needed (like the title!) but I wanted to get this posted so that you can see it.

Hope to see you there!

September 2012 Project Club "2nd Wednesday"

Coming up this week is our monthly project class.  This month features a set of cards and a cute box to hold them in.  Cards use the Clemintine paper pack, the September SOTM and the Cricut Artiste cartidge.

Note:  registration is closed for this workshop.

SB 101 - July

Above is the layout for Scrapbook 101 tonight!  We still have a couple spaces available if you would like to join us.  Information below:

Scrapbooking 101 is meeting on WEDNESDAY, July 18, at Round Table Pizza on Madison at Hazel in Fair Oaks, from 7:00 - 9:30. Shelley won't be there, but our co-consultant Anne designed a fabulous layout so she and I will be leading the class.

This month will be scrapbooking only. We are offering a 4th of July kit using the Superhero paper. The cost will be $8 and we will provide all the supplies except adhesive. Please bring your basic tools and plenty of general adhesive (like Tombow or ATG or double-sided tape). Glue dots and foam dots or tape come in handy too.

Mother's Day Card

This is the Mother's Day card I made this year.  One for my mother and the other for my mother-in-law.  I  love how they came out.

Thanks to fellow consultant Jayma Malme for the inspiration.  It is a very close copy!

Gift Card holders

I needed a couple of gift card holders for graduation gifts and made these today.  What do you think?  I am planning to use the one with the chevrons for one of my June SB101 cards.

Project of the Month Club

Shelley, Anne and I have started up a new club that meets on the second Wednesday of the month (except for July and December).  Last month was our first club meeting and we made mini-banners which turned out fabulous.  We had an awesome group of participants.

This month we will be making a set of five (5) cards and a matching box.  These cards will use the Close To My Heart Footloose paper with the Seaside wooden shapes and Mocha Opaques.  All the cards fit into the box and would make a wonderful gift (Mother's Day is right around the corner!)

Here are the details:
  • Footloose Card Workshop
  • Wednesday, May 9th
  • 6:30 - 8:30 PM
  • Round Table Pizza at 9500 Greenback Ln    [I know it's confusing that we're having clubs at two different RTP, but this is the one near Ace Hardware and Big Lots, where Madison and Greenback come together.]
  • Cost is $15
  • RSVP to register by April 30th

We have a limited number of spots for this workshop so please respond early by sending an email to me at scrapwithsally@aol.com.  If you are unable to attend, but wish to purchase a workshop kit, please let me know.

Below are pictures of the individual cards.  They are really fun to make!

A special thank you to fellow consultant Debbie Fournier for the inspiration and to Shelley for the actual design!

New Class Series!

Anne, Shelley and I are starting something new. We’ve reserved space at the Round Table Pizza in Orangevale (that’s the one at on Madison, almost at the intersection with Greenback) once a month, and we’re going to start offering some of the projects we’ve gotten excited about. Sometimes it will be altered objects, sometimes card sets, sometimes mini-albums. We’d love for you to join us on this adventure.

We’re making banners for our first project. One of the NEW items that showed up in our Close To My Heart Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book is the My Creations Mini Banner (check it out on page 131). Shelley couldn't wait to get her hands on one to recreate the banner made with LUCY paper (it’s on page 26). Also see Shelley's blog (link on the right - Montana Bait Shop - to see her creations)

Here are the details:

· When: Wednesday, April 11; 6:30 - 8:30 pm

· Where: Round Table Pizza at Madison and Greenback (on the edge of Orangevale/Folsom)

· What: You'll receive a complete My Creations Mini Banner.

That's 10 white chipboard pennants in 4 different shapes. We'll provide everything you need to make 1 or 2 or 3 banners -- it all depends on the words you choose. We'll pre-cut the paper (using the fabulous CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge), provide the ribbon, and throw in a few embellishments to jazz it up. You just bring adhesives and your imagination.

· Cost: $15

· How: Contact me or Anne or Shelley.

· Please reserve your spot by April 2nd. We need time to order things and cut things!

Here are a few words that would make great banners: FAMILY, LOVE,  SMILE, CREATE, EAT, BE NICE, CELEBRATE, PEACE, your name, your family name, your kid's name, your boss's name...

Birthday Card Workshop

Shelley, Anne, Terri and I held our first birthday card workshop yesterday.  We had 28 people signed up and we had a terrific time.  Below are the two cards that I designed (although I did scraplift one of them almost exactly!).  Both use paper from the Stella paper pack and stamps from Card Commentary - Birthday and Fashionista.  The top card was cut from the Art Philosphy Cartridge.

Hope you are planning to join Shelley and I to make this fun layout!  We still have some spots open.

If you want to bring pictures, you will need 1-6x8, 1-4x6 (that you can cut the middle out of - see right hand side above) and 2 - 3x4.

SB101 for February

We have changed the format for SB101 starting this month.  There will be four cards - two designed by me and two designed by Shelley.  Here are my two.  I will try and cross post Shelleys but you can also go check her blog as well (www.montanabaitshop.blogspot.com)

Hope to see you Wednesday evening!

I just checked and don't see Shelley's cards on her blog yet, but I  have some pictures she sent me last week.  Here you go....

On a Sunday Afternoon

My husband's uncle passed away on Friday and so I needed condolance cards for his aunt and cousins.  Here are the three cards I came up with.  All used the CTMH Enjoy Every Moment stamp set colored with watercolor pencils.

SB101 for January

Wow - I missed an entire month of updating my blog.  I hope that everyone had a happy and healthy holiday season.  Now is the time to make sure all those memories are captured in your scrapbooks while the events are fresh in your mind.

Tomorrow night is our monthly scrapbook 101 and it is my turn for cards.  Here they are:
